"Mauraders"

Yes, I did do an actual football page. This was the challenge Julie threw out to me using the new Beckie Higgins Sketches. Jenna is on the yearbook so she was at this football game. She took some pretty amazing pictures and I will have a few more pages to do. Some of these will be in the yearbook (I think) they should be, of course cause I'm her mom and I know best! lol I really had fun doing the tried and true color blocking and lots of pictures because when I was developing them, I couldn't decide what pictures I wanted to scrapbook so I had more than enough! The neat thing about Jenna being on yearbook, is that she is now liking taking pictures. She doesn't like all the technical stuff (much like her mother) but the bug has bit!
I did finish the chipboard album for my sister Lana and gave it to her this morning. She loved it and I knew she would. My middle sister Darla also loved it and expressed a desire for one for her birthday and knows that I should probably get started now if I want to get finished by July! I couldn't take pictures of it though because my camera battery was dead and I wasn't able to charge it before heading out to give it to her this morning. Hopefully will have that posted before too long!

"Mr. Monkey"

It doesn't matter how old you get, you can always find room in your heart for another stuffed animal. There was just something about this picture that I loved. Mr. Monkey does that to you! If you don't have an aversion towards stuffed animals, you will after holding Mr. Monkey. Anyway, the picture was just too cute to ignore, so I had to scrap it! Loved working with the Scribble Scrabble paper line and I am loving using any Heidi Swapp clear anything!!!

"Still Doing Field Trips in Grade 11"

Don't fall off your computer chair. Yes, it's me and I am blogging....again. I don't like it when life gets hold of you and takes you for a ride. I need to take time to prioritize. We can get caught up (or I can anyway) on our busy schedules and get stuck on that treadmill. Before you know it, a whole month has passed and I haven't connected with half of the people I wanted to touch base with. I don't like that. So I am going to work harder at that, life is too short.
So Jenna's Chem class had the privilege of going on a tour of the Cory Potash mine just last week. So the photography bug has hit my youngest daughter (finally) and she took something like 280 pictures of that morning! Pretty cool experience for a kid who was born and raised in good ole Saskatchewan! I have never been underground on a tour and both my dad and brother worked in a potash mine years ago. I find it fascinating and I know it is going to be challenging to scrapbook these photos and do them justice! I was already looking for rust/orange mottled paper but wasn't successful yet. I have something in mind and I am doing what I advise our customers NOT to do......come in with a specific pattern in their head and think we can match a paper to it! Good luck. I hope I can find what my brain has cooked up.....if not, I will improvise. So these pics will wait until I get my many half finished projects completed.

P.S. That combat skirt I made came in handy once again! Best invention ever.
